About the role

  • Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings).
  • Utilize therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines and are tailored to the needs of the client. This may include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others.
  • Attend to relational ethics, while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team and the families we serve. Actively engage other team members to ensure wrap-around support for the family and sharing of information and ideas.
  • Participate in family care meetings with other providers.
  • Comply with clinic policies and all state, federal, and licensing board laws/requirements/regulations by fostering practices that adhere to the standards of care and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and mandated reporting.
  • Adhere to – and support other team members’ adherence to – organizational standards and policies.
  • Maintain documentation and communication in line with legal, ethical, and company standards.
  • Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
  • Current and unrestricted license and/or certification to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure as indicated by the current business needs
  • Well-grounded in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy
  • Open-minded desire to learn from other professional disciplines and knowledge bases as well as local knowledge of colleagues and families we serve
  • 1 year or more of experience working with children or families with developmental differences
  • You hold a current and unrestricted license and/or certification that is required to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure in new states as indicated by the current business needs
