About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the interface between the Commercial and R&D organizations
  • Implement district strategy with selected retail accounts within the Crop Protection Business
  • Collect and interpret technical needs from users, influencers, channel partners, and the Corteva Crop Protection sales team
  • Translate local needs into project questions and communicate inputs to Field Scientists and Marketing
  • Provide technical and sales support for existing products to support district sales goals
  • Develop the sales organization through training, coaching, and best-practice improvement
  • Support local sales teams with sales and product training for new and experienced representatives
  • Transform Field Scientists' and R&D information into applicable information for the commercial organization
  • Coordinate and implement Tech Transfer training for new Territory Managers through the Tech Education Network team
  • Manage technical training for key distributors
  • Travel frequently, 30% of the time or greater

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with demonstrated capabilities is preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of six (6) years of field experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Agronomy and business experience in the relevant geography
  • Ability to listen to and interpret views from a wide range of inputs
  • Strong communication skills to transfer knowledge across the network and region
  • Ability to establish sustainable business relationships and develop joint partnerships
  • Ability to manage thorough business plans
  • Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to position Corteva's Crop Protection portfolio, including corn and soybean herbicide solutions, nitrogen maximizers, plant health, and trait technologies
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and Legal functions
  • Strong self-direction and ability to work effectively with minimal guidance
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and sales reporting
