Area Sales Manager, Key Accounts – Seeds
Corteva AgriscienceArea Sales Manager for Seeds business at Corteva Agriscience in Ukraine. Driving sales targets and managing key account teams within agricultural sector.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive and deliver sales targets on assigned territory;
- Manage and develop team of KA managers and KA Sales Specialists on the territory;
- Responsible for coaching, development and recruitment of the team in region;
- Define and implement together with the team the mid- and long-term business development strategy in the region and in Ukraine. Develop multi-years commitment approach;
- Customer and market related activities: strategic account management, relationship building, contract negotiations, competitive analysis, profitability analysis;
- Overall market evaluation: segment exploration, market assessment, opportunity identification, market potential and attractiveness evaluations
- Identify needs of KA and develop solutions to satisfy needs with best commercial and loyalty outcome to the company (along with subordinated team and KA Agronomists);
- Involve in long-term relationship building through multi-years commitments/contracts/buy-back/licensing
- Manage multiple platform sales (Seeds and Crop Protection) with intend to promote technological solutions and drive “value creation approach” for the KA customers and drive the implementation of strategic plans;
- Coordinate commercial and cross functional activities to allow customer and business success. Interact and maintain both internal and external customer focus by initiating and utilizing joint customer teams, coordinate CSR/Logistic/Marketing/Agronomy support to defined KA;
- Involve in UA country commercial policy development;
- Constantly seeks to understand influences on current customer needs. Suggest ways for business improvement;
- Accountable for managing credit risk and on-time collection for his customers. Develop and implement financial solutions to reduce business risks and maintain good relationships with customers.
- Ensuring proper product stewardship and compliance with EH&S, sales processes and company policies.
- Drive best safety and internal policy practices by self example;
- Developing contacts and strong regular relationship management at all decision making/decision influencing levels with key accounts;
- Analyze agronomy needs and develop (along with KA Agronomists) training programs for the staff and customers as well as customized demo and other services with ultimate goal to increase loyalty and sales.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Higher degree in agronomy, ag-economy or related area
- 3 to 6 years of experience in sales management in the agriculture industry
- Knowledge of the agricultural market specifics, products, seed industry
- Team leadership experience would be an advantage
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills, sense of accuracy
- Strong result orientation
- Autonomy, proactivity
- Sense of commitment and responsibility
- Stress resistance
- Strong communication and presentation skills; previous coaching/training experience considered as a plus
- Conflict resolution experience
- Fluent Ukrainian is a must, Intermediate level of English is an advantage; Valid driving license and driving experience; willingness to extensive traveling
