Environmental Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide regulatory guidance for the Global Seeds Business Platforms
- Support for Manufacturing/Production Facilities, Research Locations, Laboratories, and various Corporate Functions
- Perform Environmental Calculations (Primarily Air Emission) independently in support of Environmental Permitting
- Preparation and submission of Environmental Permit Applications for Global Operations
- Negotiate Permits, Fines, and Regulatory Advocacy Positions on behalf of both the Business and Individual Sites
- Support Programs and Regulatory Solutions which are in alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Objectives
- Lead and Participate in Environmental Multi-media Regulatory Compliance Audits
- Provide Environmental Expertise for Management of Change Reviews
- Provide Guidance and Support for Environmental Compliance Corrective Actions
- Review, Interpret, and Communicate Environmental Regulatory Laws and Regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Chemical or Environmental Engineering degree strongly preferred
- A minimum of 7 years’ prior work experience in a related Environmental Position
- Prior work experience in a Manufacturing Environment is desired
- Proficient in Workstation Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient technical writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
- Ability to work independently and error free
- Ability to work proficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective Leadership Skills
- Effective Negotiating Skills
- Ability to periodically work at elevated surfaces and in a Grain or Chemical Handling Environment
