About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide regulatory guidance for the Global Seeds Business Platforms
  • Support for Manufacturing/Production Facilities, Research Locations, Laboratories, and various Corporate Functions
  • Perform Environmental Calculations (Primarily Air Emission) independently in support of Environmental Permitting
  • Preparation and submission of Environmental Permit Applications for Global Operations
  • Negotiate Permits, Fines, and Regulatory Advocacy Positions on behalf of both the Business and Individual Sites
  • Support Programs and Regulatory Solutions which are in alignment with the Corporate Sustainability Objectives
  • Lead and Participate in Environmental Multi-media Regulatory Compliance Audits
  • Provide Environmental Expertise for Management of Change Reviews
  • Provide Guidance and Support for Environmental Compliance Corrective Actions
  • Review, Interpret, and Communicate Environmental Regulatory Laws and Regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Chemical or Environmental Engineering degree strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years’ prior work experience in a related Environmental Position
  • Prior work experience in a Manufacturing Environment is desired
  • Proficient in Workstation Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work independently and error free
  • Ability to work proficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective Leadership Skills
  • Effective Negotiating Skills
  • Ability to periodically work at elevated surfaces and in a Grain or Chemical Handling Environment
