About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Retail Sales Agronomist (RSA) role is responsible for owning the relationship, product training, demand creation, team-selling, and portfolio planning with retailer sellers
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Product training and support, through in-person or various media forms, with a retail seller
  • Leverage and promote the portfolio, support the process, and instill knowledge as well as confidence in sellers
  • Understand and execute account level strategy with retail sellers by collaborating with Retail Business Manager (RBM)
  • Maintain sellers focus on planning their efforts where they can drive business forward
  • Own the seller plan and mutually execute with strategic retail sellers
  • Drive the retail seller’s ability to demonstrate value beyond products to create product demand
  • Core responsibilities are sales execution, demand plan, inventory ownership, plot strategy, agronomy meetings, in-field trainings combined with providing industry leading support regarding Brevant products to key retail sellers
  • Coordinate efforts with functional leaders in the area (Area Product Manager (APM), Area Business Development Manager (ABDM), customer service team, supply team, program team, etc.)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Agronomy, Business, or Marketing required
  • Will consider other degrees with related agronomy and field sales experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years agronomy and sales experience, with proven abilities preferred
  • Must be able to provide an agronomy skillset, selling tactics, negotiation skills, and influence
  • Understanding of Agronomy and Crop Production practices
  • Understand the key Crop Protection product offerings in the Territory
  • Understand changing market dynamics (forecasting, product/marketing input) and build a network of strategic sellers to drive increased demand within the territory
  • Ability to pass driving record background check.
