About the role
- Develops and supports research data visualization and reporting solutions
- Enables real-time data analytics, enhancing data quality for decision-making, governance, and security
- Designs and develops Power BI-based reporting products, semantic models, and custom visuals
- Provides technical support and training to users, configures data connections and permissions, and conducts Proofs of Concept for platform features
- Works with cloud services (Azure, AWS) and a suite of BI tools and languages including R, Python, SQL, DAX, MDX, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, PowerShell, and Git
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field & 1 year related exp.
- 12 months of experience designing and developing Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service-based reporting products including reports, dashboards, and advanced visualizations using research data from multiple on-premises and cloud-based sources
- 12 months of experience enhancing and optimizing semantic models with new calculations and measures, and applying SQL and DAX functions for advanced analytics
- 12 months of experience providing technical support and training to users for implementing business intelligence solutions, migrating reports to Power BI, and creating custom visuals using R and Python
- 12 months of experience configuring data connections, defining platform user permissions, monitoring report usage, and contributing to policy development for protecting highly sensitive data
- 12 months of experience conducting Proof of Concepts for emerging technologies and platform features (e.g., Power Platform)
- 12 months of experience utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, R, Python, DAX, MDX, SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, Azure Cloud Services, AWS Cloud Services, PowerShell, and Git
- Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently
