About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze operational, production, and quality data across coding, CDI, claims, and/or denials management workflows
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports for KPIs including productivity, turnaround time, accuracy rates, and cost-per-unit
- Partner with operations leaders to define process improvement goals, measurable metrics, and progress tracking
- Conduct root-cause analyses and recommend data-supported corrective actions
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies to map workflows and design future-state processes
- Collaborate with IT, automation/AI teams, and business units on technology-driven efficiencies
- Build financial and operational models quantifying cost savings, productivity gains, and quality improvements
- Support pilot programs, monitor results, and iterate based on data
- Prepare presentations and reports for leadership and client stakeholders
- Maintain data integrity and documentation standards
- Monitor healthcare revenue cycle trends, payer policy changes, and industry benchmarks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or process improvement role
- Preferred experience in healthcare, revenue cycle management, or related services
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables
- Proficiency in at least one BI or visualization tool, such as Power BI or Tableau
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating relational database data
- Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, or similar process improvement frameworks
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Preferred familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG
- Preferred experience with automation or AI-driven workflow tools
- Preferred exposure to Python, R, or Minitab
- Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours per day
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs. infrequently
