About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support hospitals as an Epic Charge Capture Analyst
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in charge-capture workflows, Epic system builds, and revenue-integrity processes
  • Assess, document, and maintain charge capture workflows across applicable departments
  • Direct order set and preference card builds within the Epic environment
  • Develop and deliver training and education to hospital staff on charge capture changes, workflow updates, and Epic functionality
  • Collaborate with Revenue Integrity and coding teams to develop and refine processes related to the Charge Description Master (CDM)
  • Partner with clinical, billing, coding, and IT teams to identify charge capture gaps and implement workflow corrections
  • Ensure compliance of charge capture processes with applicable hospital, regulatory, and payer requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with Epic, specializing in charge capture, revenue cycle, or related modules
  • Demonstrated experience with order sets and/or preference cards within all revenue-generating departments (ancillary and nursing) in Epic
  • Working knowledge of Charge Description Master (CDM) structure and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of hospital billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding concepts, and revenue integrity principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to train and present to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a PRN, on-site environment.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle compliance and charge capture audit processes
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Epic Certification preferred but not required.
