About the role

  • Correlation One develops workforce skills for the AI economy, partnering with employers and government to deliver free virtual training and data competitions.
  • Part-time (contract) Curriculum Developer for Apex America Initiative’s High School AI Championship; develop slide deck (~30 minutes) and hands-on virtual activity.
  • Draft and write lessons: contextual business case studies, self-paced labs, homework assignments; ensure alignment with company vision and mission.
  • Collaborate with C1 Content Developer; review and advise on proposed curriculum; audit and iterate content library; peer-review lessons.
  • Participate in meetings as needed; deploy content on platform; focus on making materials accessible and engaging for high school learners with varied experience levels.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and technical writing, particularly in STEM or AI-related subjects.
  • Strong understanding of AI fundamentals (e.g., machine learning basics, GenAI concepts, data quality, and ethics), Python coding language, and Game Theory, and ability to translate understanding into accessible, age-appropriate lessons for high school students.
  • Prior experience developing or adapting curriculum for secondary education or youth-focused learning environments, with sensitivity to varying levels of student preparedness.
  • Ability to create engaging, interactive learning materials that incorporate gamification, real-world examples, and problem-based learning approaches.
  • Experience conducting domain and industry research to ensure content is accurate, current, and relevant to real-world applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for breaking down complex technical concepts into clear, relatable language.
  • Strong collaboration and peer review skills, able to work closely with other content developers, instructors, and stakeholders to refine materials.
  • Familiarity with equity and inclusion principles in curriculum development, ensuring materials resonate with and are accessible to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Comfort with remote collaboration tools and the agility to adapt in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
