About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build member relationships through quality service experiences
  • Answer member questions in a knowledgeable, professional manner
  • Perform a variety of cash handling transactions
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge of core systems and CCU’s products and services
  • Present and explain beneficial products to members and assist in meeting their financial needs
  • Utilize solid cash handling skills and procedural knowledge to effectively perform a variety of paying and receiving functions
  • Answer questions and resolve problems for members by leveraging effective listening and quality service skills
  • Perform file maintenance and account changes
  • Balance daily transactions, verify cash totals, and investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions
  • Assume responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An Associate degree or other form of secondary education is preferred
  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Prior Teller or customer service experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Confidence in promoting appropriate products and services
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Technical aptitude and experience with Microsoft programs
  • Basic math skills
  • Cash handling and customer service experience is preferred
