About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct complex domestic and international business and legal research utilizing appropriate databases and research tools
- Direct consultants to appropriate information sources
- Evaluate sources of information for currency, reliability, relevance, and cost-effectiveness
- Compile and organize information into a coherent, focused collection of information
- Develop expertise with the library’s information resources
- Maintain awareness of current developments on legal news and information services
- Recognize new information resources and make recommendations for acquisitions
- Provide orientation and instruction regarding resources
- Conduct training on databases or topics relevant to attendees
- Support practice area business development needs including docket tracks, literature searches, and expert searches
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of relevant experience that demonstrates increasing capability and responsibility
- Working knowledge of financial and economic databases such as CapIQ, Eikon, and Bloomberg
- Working knowledge of legal databases such as Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, Lexis, and Lex Machina
- Significant experience in a corporate library setting
- Advanced knowledge and skills in subject-specific resources and databases
- Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) required; Master’s degree in another specialty may be considered if candidate has significant research experience in a related industry
- Ability to commute to allocated office to comply with hybrid work policy of 2-3 days per week in office
