About the role
- Lead and manage end-to-end system conversion projects for banks and credit unions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Oversee project plans, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
- Conduct needs analyses to understand client requirements, workflows, and operational impacts.
- Support data migration, validation, and testing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on banking operations and system functionality.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver training and documentation to help clients successfully adopt new systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years of conversion project management experience with banks, credit unions, vendors, or consulting firms; OR a combination of 2 years in project management and 3 years in financial institution or bank back-office operations
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects with financial institutions
- PMP or CBAP certification preferred
- Hands-on banking or credit union operational experience (deposit ops, lending ops, back office, etc.)
