About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide professional, high-quality customer support for Cornelis Networks products
  • Take technical ownership of user-reported issues and drive diagnosis and resolution
  • Manage incoming customer support issues via email, portal postings, or phone calls
  • Escalate issues according to documented procedures
  • Periodically support off-hours on-call activities
  • Partner cross-functionally with technical staff to identify and resolve issues
  • Support OEMs and system integrators with new cluster installation and acceptance
  • Provide remote or on-site support as needed
  • Ensure customer readiness for product updates and understand their impacts
  • Provide input for upgrade and early-capability materials and documentation
  • Advocate for customers during product planning and sustaining periods

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient in English, written and verbal
  • Must submit resume in English
  • 5+ years of experience programming with C, C++, Perl, Python, and/or Fortran
  • Knowledge of Linux scripting
  • 5+ years of system troubleshooting, network configuration, and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work across geographies, time zones, companies, and organizations
  • Ability to travel to Cornelis headquarters for periodic meetings and training
  • Ability to travel to partner/customer locations up to 25% typically and 50% at peak periods
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in hardware or software development, validation, training, or technical support
  • Related high-performance networking experience preferred
  • Experience developing or troubleshooting Linux device drivers preferred
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administering enterprise Linux servers in clustered environments preferred
  • Knowledge of parallel programming, especially MPI and/or SHMEM, and troubleshooting in HPC/AI cluster environments preferred
  • Two years of experience with more than one operating system preferred
  • InfiniBand experience preferred
  • Cluster storage experience preferred
  • Ability to analyze, break down, understand complex problems, and communicate solutions effectively
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and balance customer requests with business needs
  • Experience providing user support in a network or HPC environment
