About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, configure, and upgrade software and related infrastructure, including servers, databases, and web servers
- Prepare software for release and coordinate with development teams to integrate features or fixes
- Oversee deployments to live systems
- Assist with automating deployment processes to reduce errors, manual intervention, and deployment time
- Perform integration, load, and/or automated testing after deployment
- Escalate software-related issues to client software development teams for code remediation
- Monitor systems post-deployment with the Coretek Operations team
- Troubleshoot and resolve hosting or deployment-related problems
- Create and update deployment playbooks and configuration documents
- Provide continuous improvement ideas to increase efficiency in future deployments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software package deployment and operations
- Experience with Ubiquity gateways preferred
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, and PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Git and SVN version control
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and web server technologies
- Familiarity with event management tools such as Elastic, Logic Monitor, and Nagios
- Willingness to work U.S. business hours and some off-hours work for deployments
- Excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and deadline-management skills
- Ability to explain technical details to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in English
- Preferred certifications include Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or MCSE
