About the role

  • Act as a trusted advisor by conducting workshops, gathering requirements, and presenting solutions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Design and implement Azure-based data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure database systems (SQL, Cosmos DB, Postgres).
  • Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
  • Leverage Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services to deliver intelligent business solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects to design scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure Data & AI architectures.
  • Implement version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Bicep, Terraform).
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security requirements including RBAC, encryption, and identity management.
  • Develop advanced reporting and interactive dashboards with Power BI to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members, contribute to internal best practices, and stay current with Azure Data & AI innovations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or AI, with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data processing and AI tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two Azure data services such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB.
  • Familiarity with AI services in Azure, including Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, and Cognitive Services.
  • Experience developing Power BI solutions for advanced analytics and data storytelling.
  • Understanding of modern data architectures including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for client-facing engagements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • **Preferred:**
  • Experience with event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hub, Service Bus, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with distributed computing and performance optimization in Databricks/Spark environments.
  • Experience with consulting or client-facing project delivery.
  • Exposure to ML Ops practices and operationalizing machine learning models.
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
