About the role
- Design and draft mechanical engineering projects under guidance of Mechanical Engineers/Project Managers
- Produce mechanical engineering construction documents adhering to client and code requirements
- Scope includes HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems
- Coordinate with Site/Civil, Electrical, Structural Engineers, Architects, and Construction Project Managers
- Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations and generate reports/recommendations
- Assist with design tasks and reports under direction of senior staff
- Assist in maintaining task budgets
- Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs and change orders
- Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team through design development and contract document phases
- Assist senior staff with the project approval process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0-2 years of experience with general building mechanical design production (minimum 0 years)
- Preferably experience with commercial projects such as fueling, retail or restaurants
- AutoCAD required
- MS Office required
- Revit is a plus
