About the role
- Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to integrate architectural designs with structural and MEP systems.
- Prepare detailed drawings, presentations, and specifications using advanced design software and tools.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior design staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained.
- Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and sustainable design practices to inform project strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Professional Architectural License or eligibility to obtain licensure in the relevant states.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably with a focus on commercial or institutional projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction documentation.
- Experience with sustainable design certifications such as LEED or WELL (preferred).
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and visualization tools like Rhino, SketchUp, or Lumion (preferred).
- Previous experience managing multi-location projects or working in a multi-office environment (preferred).
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills with a proven track record of successful project presentations (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of BIM workflows and integrated project delivery methods (preferred).
