About the role
- Develop complete electrical design packages for Level 2 / DCFC EV charging installations, including site layouts, single-line diagrams, conduit and wiring plans, and load calculations.
- Conduct electrical load analysis and service capacity evaluations to determine utility upgrade requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with NEC, local building codes, and utility standards.
- Prepare permit-ready drawings and documentation for AHJ submissions.
- Conduct site walks to verify existing electrical infrastructure, panel capacity, grounding conditions, and charger placement feasibility.
- Collect field data, photos, and measurements to support accurate design and layout.
- Coordinate with construction teams during installation to ensure design intent is followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 3+ years of experience with EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) design and installation.
- knowledge of utility service coordination, and utility metering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam for Electrical design and mark ups.
