About the role

  • Serve as the critical bridge between Excess Casualty, Operations, and Technology
  • Ensure successful delivery, quality, and ongoing performance of the ESCAPE platform
  • Combine Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Production Support, and API Integration oversight to drive a seamless digital underwriting experience
  • Partner with underwriting, distribution, operations, and DuckCreek to gather, define, and document business requirements
  • Translate complex underwriting workflow, appetite rules, and referral logic into clear functional specifications
  • Lead user acceptance testing in partnership with underwriting and operations teams
  • Monitor post-release performance and ensure issues are quickly identified and remediated
  • Act as a first line of business-side support for ESCAPE production issues
  • Analyze user feedback, live chat trends, and operational metrics to inform enhancements
  • Coordinate with IT, Portal Support, Broker Services, and DuckCreek to resolve incidents efficiently

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in business analysis, QA, or systems roles within commercial insurance
  • Strong understanding of underwriting processes, preferably in excess casualty and/or specialty lines
  • Familiarity with policy administration systems
  • Knowledge of API concepts (REST, JSON, data mapping, and integration patterns)
  • Experience with Quality Assurance methodologies
  • Understanding of rules engines, rating logic, and underwriting decision workflows
  • Awareness of UX/UI considerations and their impact on broker adoption and efficiency
