About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee completion of multiple projects and assignments, including planning, monitoring progress and accuracy, and evaluating results
  • Review project requirements and quotes to ensure materials and costs are accurately represented
  • Ensure understanding and approval of contractual agreements and fulfillment of Core & Main obligations
  • Anticipate, identify, communicate, and resolve operational problems and minimize delays
  • Ensure timely delivery of correct materials and supplies
  • Coordinate collaboration with internal support teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Provide regular project status information to stakeholders
  • Interface with upper management regarding project status and related issues
  • Review plans and schedules for compliance with the master schedule and resolve conflicts
  • Participate in or lead weekly or monthly meetings
  • Review open jobs to track and report project status and identify deviations or adverse trends
  • Coordinate project support from inception through completion
  • Interact with existing customers to increase sales and grow Treatment Plant business
  • Deliver reliable support to new accounts, retain existing accounts, and increase opportunities with existing customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline
  • Generally 2–5 years of experience in a related field, or MS/MA and generally 2–4 years of experience in a related field
  • Certification is required in some areas
  • 5–8 years of prior experience specific to bid preparation, sales, or construction
  • Treatment Plant experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Extensive product knowledge of waterworks materials
  • Experience in a relationship- and service-oriented role in manufacturing, distribution, or construction management
  • Formal project management training and/or PMI Certification highly preferred
  • Knowledge of order entry, inventory management, and supply chain logistics processes and systems
  • DBIA and/or PMP certification is a plus
