About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks in support of the Syndic's Office, the Committee on Unauthorized Practice, and the Admissions and Corporate Practice Committee;
- Perform case law research on various files as needed, excluding files originating from the Syndic's Office;
- Support the Legal Affairs Directorate in preparing public position statements;
- Support the Legal Affairs Directorate in member follow-up files;
- Contribute to maintaining the legal monitoring program to ensure ongoing legislative and regulatory watch;
- Collaborate with legal counsel on legal research, drafting contracts and memos, and amendments to the Order's regulatory framework;
- Participate in processing access-to-information requests;
- Coordinate the activities of the Admissions Committee;
- Process admission applications;
- Coordinate and process requests for authorization to practice within a corporation;
- Prepare certificates of registration on the Order's Register for the Discipline Council;
- Support the Secretary of the Professional Inspection Committee (meeting notices, drafting minutes);
- Format and lay out various documents related to regulation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar position;
- College diploma in accounting or a related field;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and a good command of English;
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Autonomy, rigor, and attention to detail;
- Positive attitude;
- Strong sense of priorities and organizational skills.
