About the role
- Deliver responsive technical support for end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, while supporting helpdesk operations such as ticket management, ticket response, and employee/contractor onboarding and offboarding.
- Assist in the administration of IT systems, including user account management, system updates, and security configurations.
- Participate in IT project planning and execution, including the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
- Create and maintain clear IT SOPs, process documentation, and knowledge articles; produce end‑user one‑pagers (FAQs/how‑tos) for common issues and repeat questions.
- Enforce cybersecurity best practices and policies, including managing security certifications and data access.
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure—including firewalls, switches, and access points. Support physical network infrastructure work (cabling/patching, closets/racks as applicable), and new office deployments and upgrades. Monitor network performance, configure security settings, and respond to alerts to ensure a secure and reliable IT environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 0-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT infrastructure management.
- Experience with project management and vendor relations is a plus.
- Ability to work in the Washington, D.C., or Salt Lake City, UT office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
