About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop commodity strategies for Capital projects
- Manage category strategies across all Copeland locations globally
- Control costs and identifying new savings opportunities
- Ensure supplier performance and align procurement activities with business objectives
- Champion company values and promote a strong safety culture
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including e-sourcing, RFI, RFP, RFQ and negotiation strategies
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support capital procurement
- Track and report on sourcing pipeline and savings initiatives
- Manage supplier contracts and conduct regular performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant legal, ethical and risk requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experiences in lieu of the degree
- 7+ years of experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related areas
- Experience acquiring capital assets and developing OEM and Integration suppliers
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
- Proven experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, supplier relationship management and supply chain technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills
- Ability to travel to Copeland locations/suppliers domestically and globally occasionally
