Provide enterprise-level technical and strategic leadership across the ServiceNow platform
Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders
Define and maintain the overall architecture of the ServiceNow platform
Partner with the Platform Owner to establish governance, standards, and guidelines
Translate business strategies and operational needs into modular, scalable technical designs
Provide thought leadership on platform evolution and industry trends
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership on how ServiceNow can best address business challenges
Collaborate with business stakeholders to shape high-level solution designs
Develop and validate high-level solution designs and proof-of-concept prototypes
Ensure a smooth handoff to developers by framing clear, technically feasible solution designs
Guide developers and analysts on solution design, integrations, and configurations
Own and lead Copeland’s mandatory ServiceNow upgrades
Ensure upgrade activities align with Copeland’s governance, change management, and SOX compliance standards
Establish and enforce coding, configuration, and documentation standards
Lead design reviews, solution validations, and architecture checkpoints
Mentor developers and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong foundation in systems architecture, which is typically gained from at least 3 years in an architect or lead role
3+ years of proven expertise in ServiceNow architecture, design, and governance across ITSM and at least one other major product suite (e.g., HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, SecOps)
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices, including Flow Designer, Integration Hub, scripting (JavaScript, Glide), data model design, and CMDB architecture
Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-scale implementations and integrations
Strong understanding of platform performance, scalability, and security considerations
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required, or must be achieved within 180 days of hire
7 years of experience with ServiceNow is preferred
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least one area (HRSD, ITSM, ITOM, etc.)
Experience working in global, multi-region environments
Familiarity with SOX compliance, ITIL framework, Agile / Scrum methodologies, and enterprise governance models
Strong track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners/consultants to drive innovative solutions and achieve enterprise objectives.
