About the role

  • Work as part of the project and operations team in building and operating a highly available, highly secure Private Cloud
  • Support the establishment of operations as part of a strategic large-scale project
  • Operate, maintain and further develop the VMware infrastructure (vSphere / vCenter)
  • Administer Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2019/2022) as well as MECM/SCCM
  • Participate in network operations (including MPLS, BGP, Segment Routing, IPsec VPNs, IPv6, Multicast)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
  • Collaborate closely with internal specialist teams and project partners

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an ICT Specialist (Informatiker:in EFZ)
  • Strong interest in and motivation to work on complex and security-critical IT topics
  • Good knowledge of VMware (vSphere / vCenter)
  • Practical experience with Windows Server 2019/2022 and MECM/SCCM
  • Solid networking expertise (MPLS, BGP, Segment Routing, IPsec VPNs, IPv6, Multicast)
  • Experience with Cisco IOS XE and IOS XR
  • Advantageous: initial exposure to CyberArk, RHEL 8/9 or Red Hat OpenShift; basic knowledge of MS Active Directory, MS PKI and Satellite; experience with storage systems (e.g., NetApp MetroCluster); knowledge or practical experience in system hardening
  • Enjoyment and confidence in producing technical documentation
  • Business-fluent German and English
  • Clean criminal record and residency in Switzerland for at least the last 5 years
