About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical design and product support to eye care practitioners, doctors, fitters, and staff through training, product education, contact lens consultation, and technical support
- Respond to clinical and non-clinical consulting questions by phone and email
- Evaluate clinical photos, scans, and other data to discuss lens parameter changes for optimal patient fits
- Advise ECPs on MSA product lens designs and recommend products meeting practitioner and patient needs
- Direct practitioners and related staff to clinical training materials
- Collaborate with Clinical Consultants, Senior Clinical Consultants, Sales, and Customer Service
- Balance inbound and outbound consultation calls, clinical services, and departmental cross-training
- Identify prospective clients and refer them to Education Consultants or Sales team members
- Attend lab seminars, conventions, and practitioner meetings to represent the company
- Maintain documentation for lens designs, initial orders, and ECP lens parameter adjustments
- Apply RA/QA knowledge to customer complaints and potential inquiries, including FDA incident-reporting requirements
- Present case studies during team meetings
- Perform the position effectively in a home office environment
- Report to the Supervisor of Clinical Consultation
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years’ experience in contact lens fitting, consulting, or design – Preferred
- Licensed fitting optician and/or NCLE certified – preferred
- Seeking professional licensure and/or NCLE certification within 2 years of hire
- Functional internet and a quiet private room required for patient-sensitive discussions
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
- Ability to learn Microsoft Dynamics or future necessary technology
- Ability to multitask in a busy phone environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to travel within the Americas, not to exceed 10%
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently and ongoing without future employer-sponsored work authorization
