About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a defined sales territory and drive growth of CooperVision's contact lens portfolio
  • Build and maintain relationships with optometrists, ophthalmologists, practice managers, and office staff
  • Execute business strategies, expand market share, and achieve revenue objectives within the assigned territory
  • Meet and exceed projected sales goals based on the territory quota
  • Maintain a territory call cycle with approximately 5–7 pre-set appointments per workday
  • Respond to customer phone and email inquiries within 24 hours
  • Use consultative selling to understand customer businesses, assess needs, and profile accounts
  • Formulate and execute call cycle plans and prepare account business plans with the Regional Director
  • Develop new business within the geographic territory
  • Maintain technical proficiency with CooperVision and competitive products
  • Educate customers on CooperVision products and make recommendations to grow their businesses
  • Sell value-added products and services to customer offices
  • Develop customer marketing plans and promotions and monitor return on investment
  • Analyze product, account sales, and territory growth using CRM tools and reports
  • Participate in state and regional optical shows when requested
  • Submit call, expense, ROI, and other administrative reports on time
  • Manage diagnostic contact lens sets at customer locations
  • Travel within the territory approximately 80% of the time
  • Travel outside the territory for conferences, site trainings, and regional meetings approximately 10–15% of the time

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter

  • Ability to anticipate, understand, prioritize, and meet customer needs
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and varied daily situations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and assimilate information for quality decisions
  • Ability to make presentations to customer groups of various sizes
  • Proficiency with MS Suite
  • Experience with CRM systems including Salesforce, Tableau, and Showpad
  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds while installing, removing, and transporting diagnostic contact lens sets
  • 4+ years of B2B sales experience in any industry
  • Tangible product sales experience desirable
  • Experience exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of direct related experience (high school + 8 years or similar)
  • Successful background check, which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational records, and motor vehicle records
  • Valid driver's license, minimum required insurance coverage, and satisfactory driving record
