About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and expand sales in the OR Business Unit among existing and new accounts
- Make sales calls to surgeons of various specialties, operating room management, nursing and administration
- Communicate the benefits of CooperSurgical products for surgical practices and operating rooms
- Compile and submit complete, timely weekly and monthly sales and activity reports to the Regional Manager
- Plan and execute the sales plan to achieve sales and business goals within the assigned territory
- Complete product and surgical application training requirements, including interim and final examinations
- Demonstrate clinical and product knowledge, including proper assembly, use, clinical application and maintenance of instrumentation
- Train physician, nursing, cleaning and sterilization personnel in proper product use and maintenance
- Maintain current training certifications and required medical documentation
- Travel and work independently within the territory, including overnight travel as necessary
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- 1–3 years of documented and verifiable sales experience, preferably within the hospital/OR environment
- Documented ability to grow sales in previous sales positions
- Satisfactory and positive responses from business and personal references
- Must maintain medical documentation and a good documented health profile to comply with customer requirements within the territory
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must complete product and surgical application training requirements and pass interim and final examinations
- Must maintain up-to-date certification in Operating Room Protocol for Health Care Representatives, Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens, and HIPPA regulations
- Willingness to travel and work independently, including overnight travel as necessary within the territory
