About the role
- Coordinate regional sales activities to drive regional sales objectives and achieve quotas
- Recruit, hire and train sales representatives as needed
- Create a positive work environment that results in retention, professional skill enhancement and reduces turnover of sales representatives
- Provide training leadership and coaching to territory sales personnel.
- Conduct field visits with sales personnel on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure all procedures, policies, compensation plans, company policies and plans are thoroughly understood and implemented.
- Monitor, assess, and correct sales representative performance issues on a timely basis.
- Track and verify regional and sales demo equipment.
- Insure that reps are submitting expenses in a complete and timely manner as per company.
- Insure that reps are submitting all paperwork on a timely basis weekly reports in a timely manner.
- Complete a field coaching report after each field visit.
- Must be responsive to management requests.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years successful medical sales, selling medical devices in the Operating Room and Labor & Delivery suite.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must be willing to travel and work independently.
- Must possess advanced computer knowledge, Microsoft Word, Excel and be comfortable with basic internet communications.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from accounts, regulatory agencies or members of business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
- Ability to communicate and execute the sales strategy effectively.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to uncover objections, negotiate and reach an agreement.
