About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, manage, coach, and develop the Business Analytics team
- Set priorities, unblock the team, and create opportunities for analysts to take ownership
- Serve as the primary analytical partner to Growth, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations leaders
- Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analysis and recommendations
- Partner on A/B tests and holdouts, measure them rigorously, and translate results into business decisions
- Build and maintain forecasts and goal-sizing for leadership planning
- Run and evolve the team’s peer-review process
- Review and approve board- and executive-level analysis
- Establish best practices for analytical rigor, reproducibility, communication, and prioritization
- Partner with Data Science and Engineering to ensure the team has necessary data, tooling, and models
- Work hands-on on high-stakes analytical questions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years in business, growth, or product analytics
- 2+ years leading analysts
- Track record of analysis that changed business decisions
- Advanced SQL
- Fluency with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
- Comfort with Snowflake, BigQuery, or dbt is a plus
- Strong grounding in experimentation and causal thinking, including A/B testing, holdouts, incrementality, cohort analysis, and funnel analysis
- Consumer, subscription, or marketplace experience
- Understanding of retention, LTV, acquisition, and pricing dynamics
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
- Player-coach mindset
