About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You independently support and advise customers and suppliers in the area of sea freight, handling both FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load).
You manage, organize and monitor the entire sea freight transport process.
You handle daily communication independently with customers, DSV offices, partners, subcontractors and carriers.
You accept customer orders and check all shipment- and order-related data and documents.
You prepare freight and customs documentation for sea freight shipments.
You are responsible for invoicing and checking invoices for services provided.
You handle irregularities, complaints and escalation management.
You coordinate and monitor customs clearance and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
You assist in optimizing transport processes and contribute to improving efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need

You have completed vocational training as a freight forwarding clerk (Speditionskaufmann/-frau) or equivalent.
You have several years of professional experience in sea freight forwarding.
Structured, organized and independent work is second nature to you.
With a strong service mentality, you ensure timely order processing and enjoy communicating with customers.
You have very good German and English skills (spoken and written).
You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and in IT systems (e.g. CargoWise).
You are a team player with high initiative and a strong commitment to getting the job done.
