About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the day-to-day health, safety, and environmental support to site leadership and operating teams
Coach, teach, and train site personnel on safe operating behaviors
Design, develop and implement safety and risk control programs
Ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007 & ISO 14001:2004
Monitor and communicate site HSE goals, action plans, and results
Conduct accident investigations, maintain accident statistics, and propose remedial actions
Communicate with staff and leadership on all matters relating to HSE

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED
3 years’ experience in logistics/distribution/relevant environment
Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans
Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices
Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
Basic to intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products
