About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

responsible for the daily operations at one of our locations in Venlo
manage a team of three to five direct reports and indirectly for around 200 FTEs
lead the daily operations and ensure that logistics processes run efficiently and effectively
constantly working on optimizing these processes and improving performance in terms of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
identify bottlenecks, analyze them, and come up with practical solutions for smooth operations
motivate and develop the team, placing talent in the right positions
ensure employees have the right skills and resources to perform their work optimally
create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

experience in a leadership role, preferably in a logistics environment
analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and define solutions or process improvements
knowledge of HR tasks such as absenteeism, sustainable employability, reintegration, hiring new colleagues, employee evaluations, and staff development plans
proficiency in English, Dutch is a plus
