Warehouse Supervisor

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely completion of tasks.
- KPI & Performance Delivery: Ensure contractual KPIs are achieved/exceeded, monitoring performance daily and addressing any shortfalls.
- Customer Focus: Act as the first line of support for customers and DSV, handling issues proactively and ensuring on-time, in-full deliveries.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, train and develop warehouse staff; manage workloads and foster a positive, engaging and safe working culture.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with H&S regulations, company policies, and best practices.
- Resource Planning: Support shift planning and allocation of resources to meet demand, including agency management where required.
- Quality Standards: Ensure processes and outputs meet customer and DSV quality standards; investigate and resolve operational issues.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of performance, compliance, and customer reporting requirements.
- KPI Management & Invoicing: Manage location KPIs and support the accurate completion of customer invoicing processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Auditing & Stock Integrity: Support cycle counts, audits, and investigations to maintain stock accuracy.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in warehouse supervision within logistics or supply chain.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- IT literate, with experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results against KPIs.
- Knowledge of H&S, compliance, and warehouse best practices.
