About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process all shipments, coordinating the movement and monitoring while in route
  • Handle shipments from start to finish ensuring compliance with DSV policies and government regulations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers providing high level of customer service and quality
  • Communicate directly with customers, overseas offices, airlines, warehouses, and truckers
  • Manage daily coordination of shipments, establish schedules with carriers, and create necessary documents
  • Track and trace all shipments, prepare and publish reports as requested
  • Identify problems and implement appropriate solutions
  • Confirm rates with carriers and evaluate shipments for cost containment
  • Ensure all DSV KPIs are met throughout shipment movement
  • Perform quality, health & safety tasks as outlined in DSV policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of two years international transportation industry experience or education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or related field of study
  • CIFFA certificate, an asset
  • Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
  • Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status, as required
  • GDP Training, if required
  • Good command, both verbal and written, English skills
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
  • Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively in order to meet goals and achieve results
  • Both a team builder and a team-player
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
