About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

support the team while learning the ins and outs of the business
plan and coordinate shipments
help to plan the outbound journey and think about smart return solutions
build a strong network through close collaboration with colleagues and external partnerships
support the planning of shipments for our own trailer fleet
optimize routes, minimize mileage and maximize vehicle utilization
proactively communicate with and inform customers, partners and drivers
monitor shipments and identify irregularities relating to loading, unloading and delivery activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

some knowledge of transport or a degree in logistics is a plus; if not, we are happy to teach you the trade
willingness to participate in an on-call schedule a few weekends per year, as our drivers also operate during weekends, for example to the United Kingdom
a good command of both Dutch and English. Do you also speak some German? That’s a definite advantage.
