About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engage a culture of safety throughout our campus by educating leaders to enhance safety.
Provide management support in planning, development, delivering, and evaluation of safety policies, programs, and training.
Promote safety for all employees and compliance with legal regulations and department policies.
Ensure compliance with all Federal and State OSHA rules and regulations.
Provide training, instruction, and guidance in safety areas.
Oversee accident investigations and maintain all record keeping.
Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
One to two years related experience and/or training directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
Knowledge of OSHA and other federal safety standards, principles, practices and techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.
Working knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email).
Willing to work different shifts as dictated by business needs.
Professional accreditation in a safety or environmental field is preferred.
Experience effectively leading and facilitating team and cross-functional meetings is preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
