About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for supervising labor management and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily
  • Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and assure continuous improvement
  • Ensure development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner in accordance with company policies
  • Manage operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals
  • Implement and report ongoing cost savings measures
  • Train new staff and keep informed of quantity and quality of jobs being performed throughout the day
  • Assign duties to appropriate warehouse staff and assess priorities based on time sensitivity and available resources
  • Provides input for annual performance reviews for team members
  • Supports adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Delivers results by leveraging the skills of the right people at the right time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation (preferred)
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Power Point)
  • RF Scanners
  • WMS functions
  • Good organizational and personnel skills
  • Basic to intermediate level of mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products
  • Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job tasks in a timely manner
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
