Logistics Coordinator
Cookie InformationLogistics Coordinator responsible for operational elements of customer’s freight needs in transport and logistics. Important role ensuring timely and efficient freight movement and customer service.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle all day-to-day operational elements of customer’s needs
- Seek out the best methods to move the freight based on customer requirements
- Organize and prioritize activities to complete tasks and assignments independently
- Perform all necessary Import, Export and Domestic Transportation activities
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service
- Anticipate, identify and rectify any exceptions
- Analyze booking information from customer to determine and verify service requirements
- Co-ordinate the flow of inbound and outbound freight
- Communicate with carriers to monitor freight movement
- Optimize DSV profit margin without compromising service
- Complete performance reports for all carrier related issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 1-2 years in transportation/logistics/distribution
- College Diploma / University Degree in Business, Logistics, or International Trade preferable
- CIFFA certificate, an asset
- Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
- Good command, both verbal and written, French and English skills
- Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
- Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
- Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively to meet goals and achieve results
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
