Senior Compliance Specialist, Dangerous Goods

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee safe handling, storage, and global distribution of lithium batteries
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for lithium battery shipping regulations
- Prepare and validate all Dangerous Goods documentation
- Monitor changes in global regulations and update Standard Work Instructions
- Ensure compliance with IATA, IMDG, and DOT regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business or a related field, or minimum 5 years experience focused on dangerous goods
- IATA DGR Certification: Current certification for the transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Category 1 or 6)
- IMDG Code Certification: Valid certification for the transport of Dangerous Goods by Sea
- 49 CFR / DOT Hazmat: Deep understanding of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations for domestic U.S. transport
- Familiarity with UN 38.3 Testing Summaries and the ability to interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
