About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Process all shipments and coordinate movement while in route
Handle shipments from start to finish ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
Serve as primary point of contact for customers
Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender shipments
Create and coordinate country specific documents
Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations
Track and trace all shipments
Prepare and publish reports as requested
Proactively identify problems and implement solutions
Confirm rates with carriers
Responsible for cost containment of shipments
Evaluate shipments and select cost-effective methods of transport
Ensure all KPIs are met throughout the movement of the shipment
Communicate daily with customers on relevant issues and resolution
Manage new account implementation

Requirements

What you’ll need

1-2 years of international transportation industry experience or education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or related field
CIFFA certificate, an asset
Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status, as required
Good command of English, both verbal and written
Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively
