About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and expand assigned customers based on profitable revenue and volume growth
  • Plan and prepare customer visits with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare quotes and customer presentations, conduct necessary follow-up calls, and take responsibility for processing and coordinating tenders/RFPs
  • Proactively identify cross-product logistics requirements from customers (cross-selling)
  • Forward sales leads to other product areas or cross-product cooperation to comprehensively cover customer requirements
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by initiating appropriate measures with the relevant departments
  • Analyze relevant sales KPIs and derive measures to retain customers and expand business opportunities (e.g., up-/downtrading, sales leads, etc.) or to win back lost customers
  • Ensure documentation of sales activities and potential in the CRM system
  • Coordinate requirements and commercial approaches with involved departments (e.g., Road Brokerage management)
  • Acquire new customers

  • Maintain and grow the defined customer portfolio, covering existing and prospective A/B/C customers
  • Assess and pursue market potentials in the assigned territory to acquire new customers
  • Ensure customer retention by delivering appropriate account management, in particular through customer visits
  • Identify customer needs and derive and develop suitable solutions
  • Ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the defined customer portfolio
