About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate complex daily dispatch activities for company drivers, contractors, and partner carriers.
Independently manage assigned customer accounts and transportation activities to ensure customer expectations and operational requirements are achieved.
Evaluate transportation requirements and determine appropriate services, equipment, and transportation resources within established operational guidelines.
Manage high-priority, time-sensitive, and specialized freight movements while balancing customer requirements and operational constraints.
Schedule and communicate pickup and delivery expectations with drivers, operations teams, customers, and transportation partners.
Monitor shipment activity and proactively address service disruptions to minimize operational and customer impact.
Track customer orders from initiation through final delivery to ensure timely execution and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in truck dispatch, transportation operations, or logistics coordination required.
Experience coordinating complex freight movements, including time-sensitive, specialized, or high-value shipments preferred.
Experience managing customer relationships and resolving complex transportation and service issues.
Working knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and transportation compliance.
Experience utilizing transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch software, and operational reporting tools.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make sound operational decisions within established guidelines.
