Global Business Development Director – Aerospace & Defence

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive global business development activities across key markets and regions
- Land new business and grow the existing portfolio by actively approaching the market and building relationships with Aerospace & Defence customers, OEMs, Defence primes, Tier suppliers, MRO providers, government-related stakeholders, and strategic industry partners
- Strengthen DSV's position within the global Aerospace & Defence ecosystem and increasing strategic pipeline development across Contract Logistics and integrated supply chain solutions
- Coordinate and manage projects during tender and implementation phases across corporate, regional, and country levels
- Support Global Account Directors with large, strategic Contract Logistics opportunities and customer growth initiatives
- Translate the global Aerospace & Defence strategy into focused business development initiatives and executable growth plans
- Define required and missing commercial products and services needed to strengthen DSV's Aerospace & Defence value proposition and competitiveness
- Support the development of differentiated Aerospace & Defence capabilities, including secure warehousing, export control compliance, inventory visibility, resilience solutions, and mission-critical logistics concepts
- Represent DSV in relevant Aerospace & Defence industry forums, associations, trade events, and customer engagements globally.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hold a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience within Aerospace & Defence and/or the logistics industry, including Contract Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or integrated logistics solutions across multiple regions
- At least 5 years of proven experience in senior customer-facing business development or account leadership roles managing strategic Aerospace & Defence accounts internationally
- Strong network and relationship-building capabilities within the Aerospace & Defence industry, preferably including experience with global OEMs, Defence primes, Tier suppliers, and key industry stakeholders
- Experience working with complex RFQs, RFPs, and large-scale strategic logistics opportunities
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to Aerospace & Defence logistics, including export controls, secure supply chains, quality standards, and regional regulatory frameworks
- Fluent English language skills; additional languages are considered an advantage.
