About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing common contract logistics processes and driving continuous performance improvement.
This engineer may also provide engineering support for new and/or expanding business implementations.
The Industrial Engineer will support multifaceted operations and have a detailed understanding of client needs.
Industrial Engineer may contribute to the overall facility layout and design as well as determine appropriate equipment to support the concept of operational use.
The Engineer will also routinely support the physical implementation of the solution.
This role is also responsible for maintaining financial and engineering metrics that will meet or exceed performance goals.
The Industrial Engineer may at times provide guidance and training to interns/Co-ops.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 2 years of industrial engineering experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) or similar environment
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
Experience in retail distribution support and/or e-commerce type environment
Degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred
Green Belt Six Sigma / Lean Certified
Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients
Experience in 3PL environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Advanced MS Excel user
Proficient Insight into a Warehouse Management System (WMS) allowing for understanding of system capabilities
Knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment such as AutoCAD, MS-Project, and Visio
Knowledge of Simulation software
Knowledge of analytical software/reporting tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
