About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and oversee the importation of goods by air and sea, including carrier selection, booking, and movement of goods through various transportation channels
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other third-party service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of cargo
- Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and quality
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required
- At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required
- Prior experience in air imports and supervisory experience is highly desirable
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with logistics software and systems is required
