About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Project Director, GCM for DSV Contract Logistics will be responsible to plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of projects related to new business implementation and other existing business initiatives within the Contract Logistics Global Customer Management organization.
  • The role is focused on a designated GCM client globally.
  • This Project Director will work closely with the DSV GCM Leadership and the client to ensure that each project is on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
  • They will also play a critical role in the strategic planning of future projects, working with the different region leadership to balance the client’s project objectives with the resourcing available.
  • Drive standardization in scope, design, and delivery to ensure repeatability and reliability for their client.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Four-year degree is basic requirement (Management, Engineering, Operations Preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience with leadership of Project Management staff
  • Minimum of 10 years’ Logistics/Warehousing Industry experience
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Visio
  • AutoCAD is a plus
  • Warehouse Management System(s)
  • Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal), Spanish a plus
  • Interpersonal communication and language skills (e.g., listening to others, speaking to others, reading, writing).
  • Communication with all levels of business from floor staff to executives, to include facilitation of meetings and/or workshops.
  • Other Skills As assigned, to include management of resources assigned to the project team.
  • E-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutions
  • Other duties as assigned by management to support special projects, implementations, process improvements, etc.
