Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinates shipments according to customer instructions (SOP’s)
Ensures compliance to DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines
Provides solutions in resolving transportation issues and inquiries
Executes ocean marine drayage services for FCL movements
Selects and dispatches pick-up and delivery orders to truckers
Manages chassis pool operations
Reviews, records, and develops solutions for repetitive service failures
Streamlines proactive container tracking communications
Negotiates pricing to maximize profits

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 - 5 years of experience in Logistics and customer service environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel
Good understanding of ocean export/import operations and transload operations
Essential - Experience in trucking carrier deliveries/recovery process and terminal port/CY requirements
Maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Email and Telephone etiquette
Ability to troubleshoot day-to-day issues that may arise during pick-up or delivery process
