About the role
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies
- Conduct compliance audits and reviews to assess adherence to regulations and internal procedures
- Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal policies and procedures accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across different departments
- Assist in investigating compliance-related incidents and violations
- Support the development and maintenance of compliance documentation and record-keeping
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging compliance trends
- Assist in preparing and submitting required reports to regulatory agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in compliance, preferably in U.S. Customs
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and best practices
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation techniques
