About the role
- Perform Customs business activities
- Conduct effective research and communicate with clients or CBP
- Manage Customs entries and monitor clearance
- Review Customs documents for accuracy
- Verify classification and valuation with importers
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations
- Obtain appropriate documents for claims or disclaims
- Maintain required documents under 19 CFR 163
- Monitor and track customs clearances
- Coordinate with internal teams, customs brokers, and government agencies
- Support the development and implementation of customs compliance procedures and policies
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Customs brokerage
- U.S. Customs Brokerage License
- Certification in customs compliance or a related area
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, processes, and documentation
- Attention to detail and accuracy in customs declarations and record-keeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with ACE Secure Data Portal
- Proficient in using customs management software and systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
